Please check the size of your envelopes - anything over around A5 size is a waste. UK please remember that the postal charges have changed and anything over A5 will need a large letter stamp. ROW - please make sure your jiffy/padded envelopes are A5 or smaller. Make sure you put enough postage on your package to Modwolves as any with a surcharge to pay and anything to be signed for will not be collected from the Post Office and will be returned to you.
* What is a jiffy bag?
A padded envelope to protect its contents. One also turned evil in Arctic Boosh. His
name was Mr. Jiffy (the most evil stationery in the world!)
* Do I send the jiffy bags together or separately?
Together.
* Can we get a family/joint membership?
If more than one member lives at the same address then you can share jiffy bags - make
sure all applications are sent together along with the jiffy bags - and all names written
on the jiffy bags. You can send one cheque for all memberships at the same address.
* I can't print out the form
I have put up a jpeg version of each so you should be able to print this version. If you don't have a printer you can hand write the form so long as you include all of the details.
* What details do I need to include on the back of my cheque?
Card number, guarantee limit, expiry date and name/address.
* What is a cheque guarantee card?
If you have a cheque account you should also have a guarantee card. By writing the details on the back of the cheque this ensures that the cheque can't bounce (we had a problem with bouncing cheques when we sold the audio CDs)
* Modwolves gigs - will I be able to get more than one ticket?
This is undecided. It will depend on the size of the venue and the number of gigs to
ensure as many modwolves as possible get to go - but we understand that not everyone is
happy to go alone. Also of course we are unable to guarantee that we will be able to
arrange Modwolves gigs but we will certainly try!
* Will any of the gigs be outside of London?
Again, it's impossible for us to predict the future!
* UK - I don't have a cheque book.
Then the only other option is a walk to the post office to get a postal order. We cannot
encourage anyone to send cash as this is too high risk and there is no paper trail. You can if you like but we can't accept any responsibility if the money gets lost/stolen in the post.
Sorry.
* Do I write card details on the back of a postal order?
NO - send the postal order as it is.
* How do I send payment etc?
Make your payment out to Modwolves and send to the Modwolves address.
* What if I move house?
Your membership number will be written on each of your jiffy bags when we receive them
into the office. So if you move house please inform us immediately and we will rummage
through the jiffys to find yours to amend the addresses. This isn't always possible but we will do our best.
* How do I know that my application was received ok?
All member details will be added to a database as we receive them. You will receive either a welcome email or your
first Modwolves news email and so you'll knoe you're on the list. Before this happens you may receive your first jiffy through
the post.
* Why do you need my myspace address?
For reference and also because we will probably set up a modwolves myspace. This will be
arranged once all database is completed. Details for how to join are on the Coconut Lodge forum.
* What if I don't have a myspace address?
Don't worry - the website and email list are the main ways in which we will make contact. Myspace is secondary.
* Do I make up my own password?
Yes please. And keep it to yourself. Write it on your application form where it asks and don't forget it. This password will not get you into the Modwolves forum. You will be emailed the forum password along with your invite to join the mailing list.
* How do I get onto the forum?
Go to the forum following the link from the Modwolves page, apply for an account and we will confirm you are a Modwolve and approve your account.
* How long does the membership last for?
Currently until the end of Jan 2009 (so over 2 years if you joined from the start). Memberships should be
cheaper next year as the database will already be up and running and we will have an idea of numbers of members and we won't be asking for so many/any
jiffy bags so there is no jiffy mountain!
* When will I get my first jiffy bag of delight through the post?
Almost as soon as your application is received.
