Michael Legge

Q - Have you ever regret going into comedy?
A - Only occasionally. Like when I'm hungover and I know I've got to travel to The Giggling Arse in Amersham.

Q - What makes you want to make people laugh?
A - The incredible knowledge that I can't do anything else.

Q - Is there a routine by anyone else that you wish you'd written?
A - Most of them. More importantly I have stuff in my routine that I wish was someone else's. Just so I could say "My God, have you heard Charlie Sofa's terrible Bum Lover material?" and I could laugh about it with my great big comedy mates.

Q - Have you ever nicked anyone else's material?
A - No bloody way. I saw it happen once so I stabbed him. Just me, then?

Q - Who makes you laugh and who are your heroes?
A - Paul Merton, Daniel Kitson, Kitty Flanagan, Indiana Jones.

Q - Have you ever said or done anything on stage that you really regretted?
A - I wouldn't know where to begin.

Q - What is your favourite routine / joke that you do?
A - My ex was so bitter when we split up that she made a voodoo doll of me. Lucky for me she's an acupuncturist.....Never gets a laugh.

Q - Is there anything that you've done that you thought was really funny but no-one laughed?
A - See above.

Q - Is there anything that you wouldn't joke about?
A - Nope. Watch me black up and slag off spastics, baby.

Q - Are you happy with the way your career is heading and where would you like it to go?
A - Yeah. I've recently been commissioned to write a sitcom with Bennett Arron for the BBC. It's pretty exciting.

Any big ambitions for the future?
A - I think I'd have fun doing a tour. Want to come with me?

Q - What is the drunkest you've ever been?
A - I once drunk a load of schnapps and fell asleep under an ice cream van.

Q - Have you ever loved somebody so much it made you cry?
A - I have, I do.

Q - Blanket or Stuffed Animal?
A - Blanket in the bedroom. Stuffed animal in the trophy room.

Q - Favourite Quote(s) from a movie?
A - "This is a 12th century Hungarian crossbow. It killed a king and changed the face of Europe forever. And if you ever touch it again I will shove it up your ass."

Q - Favourite Sesame Street Character?
A - Bert. I like the way he looks and acts like Morrissey.

Q - What do you do most often when you are bored?
A - Spend money on cd's.

Q - What words or phrases do you overuse?
A - Please Laugh and Don't Leave Me.

Q - What is your most philosophical thought?
A - Never have a plan B. If you have a plan B then you'll forget plan A.
